December 13, 2017 by johnson_mel@hotmail.com

Meal Prep Ideas

It was a great Sunday in the kitchen this week! Lots of meal prep ideas thrown out to get me through the week….

I managed to make breakfast, lunch, a couple snacks and a few dinner for the week all in one day! Meal prep keeps me on track in terms of healthy eating and I stress less, because the cooking is already done for me. I can literally grab and go if need be.

If you are on the fence about meal prep, then check out my 5 Reasons To Meal Prep. It can save you time and money, plus help you eat a healthy diet. [Read more…]

Meal Prep Ideas

December weekends get crazy for me! We do a month-long Christmas promotion for work and it takes a lot of time and energy. I didn’t have any time to shop or cook on Saturday, so I did it all on Sunday.

We also decided to go to Denver to pick up an elliptical that we bought for our basement (yay!) and Sunday was the only day we could do it. Instead of skipping meal prep, I decided to keep things REALLY easy.

If you have busy weekends and little time to cook, then read up on my 6 Meal Prep Hacks For Busy Weekends. I used one of those tips this week! [Read more…]

Meal Prep Ideas

Time for me to share my meal prep ideas for the week! Donny wanted a few things to take for lunches this week, so I made two different lunch-worthy dishes so that I could rotate what I had each day and so Donny could use the rest!

The last few months I’ve made the same lunch for each weekday, so it is nice to make this change! It takes a little more time but I made it easy by incorporating my slow cooker!

My slow cooker is one of my favorite small kitchen appliances and one of my favorite meal prep hacks if you are super busy. I wasn’t necessarily busy this last weekend, but it saved me time while I cooked other foods. Check out my 6 Meal Prep Hacks For Busy Weekends post to read more about how to save time meal prepping. Meal Prep Ideas

It’s Thanksgiving week so it will be a short one. I still work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday, but we have weird schedules as we get ready for our big Christmas promotion.

I only needed lunch for three days and I wasn’t sure how often I’d be able to snack at my office. Since I am not 100% sure on the afternoon snack situation, I packed a few but also threw a couple Larabars in my purse just in case.

If you have any questions about these meal prep ideas then please ask! Email me anytime at eatliftplayrepeat@gmail.com. I’d love to hear what foods you prepare or what healthy meals you are eating this week! [Read more…]

Grocery Shopping & Meal Prep Ideas – Week 76

Meal Prep Ideas

The first week of work post-maternity leave went quite well. I am SO glad that I meal prep because it saves me a ton of time in the evenings. Plus, I’m still up a few pounds so it is nice having healthy food available to grab and go!

Check out this week’s meal prep ideas. I stuck with one lunch option because I am trying to take things slow as I get back into meal prep. Personally, I like a variety of lunches but I need to keep things simple right now. [Read more…]

Meal Prep Ideas

The time has come….I am back to work this week after 8 weeks or so of maternity leave. Not a big deal, I was ready. However, I needed to get back into the meal prep game!

I wanted to make a few easy recipes that were also quick. Some weekends I might have more time to cook, but until I get into the swing of meal prep with a baby I’ll have to keep my meal prep ideas simple.

Check out the meal prep ideas I had this week including make a healthy, yet simple lunch and overnight oats for breakfast of course! [Read more…]

Grocery Shopping & Meal Prep Ideas – Week 74

November 1, 2017 by johnson_mel@hotmail.com

Grocery Shopping & Meal Prep Ideas

This week’s meal prep ideas are not very exciting, but it has worked for me so far! I bought quite a few healthy things at the grocery store, but I didn’t do much prep work.

I enjoy having healthy foods handy so I can throw together a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. Breakfast was a priority this week, so that I could quickly grab it, eat it and get ready for the day. I am not back at work, but I will be very soon. Right now I am preparing (physically & mentally) for getting up and out the door in the morning and to work by 8:00am. [Read more…]

Grocery Shopping & Meal Prep Ideas

Even though I am not back to work yet (still a couple more weeks of maternity leave), I have been meal prepping a few things over the weekend.

My days can get crazy in a hurry, so I have been keeping healthy, cooked foods in my refrigerator. That way I have some easy lunch, dinner and snack options that I can throw together in no time! My meal prep ideas this week include a sheet pan chicken dish, plus some egg muffins. [Read more…]

Grocery Shopping & Meal Prep Ideas – Week 72

Meal Prep Ideas

This was the first week since we’ve had Abby Jo that I felt like I had some meal prep ideas. I did a little prep last week, but it was pretty disjointed. This week I busted out a couple things on Sunday so that we could eat healthy this week.

Both Donny & I are trying to eat somewhat healthier than we have the past few weeks. I definitely wanted some healthy foods already cooked so that I could make some meals in a short amount of time. I do feel like I accomplished that! [Read more…]

Grocery Shopping & Meal Prep Ideas

It has been four weeks since we brought Abby Jo into this world and I am finally meal prepping again! It looks a little different than before because I am still on maternity leave. No need for pre-portioned lunches or snacks yet!

We’ve had a ton of family and friends bring us meals so that we didn’t have to cook those first few weeks. It was awesome to have those available, but I am ready to get back to (somewhat) healthy eating! I cooked a few things to eat for lunches and dinners. [Read more…]
