Need a little something sweet that won’t ruin your day of healthy eating? This recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip is it!
I didn’t realize how much I liked dipping one food into another food until just recently. Guacamole, salsa, hummus, white bean dip…. I could go on and on listing the different dips that are addicting. Now you can add this sweet, dessert-like dip to the list!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip is rich, but made with clean eating ingredients so you don’t have to feel bad for indulging once in a while. Now, just because it is made with clean eating ingredients doesn’t make it calorie-free. I know, I know I want it to be free from calories too. Sadly, it doesn’t work that way.
Luckily, this dip is sweet enough and contains protein, so you’ll feel satisfied after having a serving (or two).
First of all, I used Greek yogurt cream cheese for this recipe. It can be found at Safeway by the regular cream cheese, but you could also use Neufchatel cheese if you couldn’t find the Greek yogurt variety.

Second of all, I definitely suggest using 2% Greek yogurt or full fat Greek yogurt for the recipe. Honestly, I haven’t bought 0% fat Greek yogurt in months! The extra fat in the yogurt really helps with satiety and it is less tart to me. If you already have 0% Greek yogurt then feel free to use it, I just prefer the higher fat content.
Mini dark chocolate chips were used for this recipe, but mini milk chocolate chips would work too. Get creative with other fillings too. Peanut butter or butterscotch chips would be delicious, or add raisins and extra cinnamon for a different flavor combination!
In terms of dippers, use what you have on hand or get creative. Apples worked great, but graham crackers or ginger snaps would be good. Whole wheat cinnamon sugar pita chips would be the bombdigity too! The possibilities are endless.
- 8oz Greek yogurt cream cheese, softened
- 4oz 2% Greek yogurt, plain
- 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder
- 1 1/2 Tbsp grass-fed butter, melted
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips*
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the soften cream cheese with the greek yogurt. Stir together using a large metal or wooden spoon.
- Add the melted butter, vanilla, protein powder, cinnamon and salt. Stir until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Feel free to add your favorite cookie ingredients to the dip, including raisins, dried cranberries, dates, etc.
