Trail Mix Energy Bites

Trail Mix Energy Bites

Did you enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather yesterday?!?! It was crazy nice out! I made sure to spend plenty of time outside enjoying it. I went to the grocery store first thing and then Donny had the grill started by the time I got back. He grilled up a bunch of food for me for the week and I got my meal prep out of the way before noon!

I took the dogs outside for a while. We think we found where Kevin got out, so we fixed it up over there and hopefully he can’t get out again. Both Saturday & Sunday I let the dogs out and didn’t have Kevin on a leash. I went out there with them and supervised, but he was still off the leash! [Read more…]

Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

Sorry I went MIA last week. I haven’t posted since last Friday, but it was one crazy week (to say the least).

Last Saturday we went up to Denver to pick up our rescue pup, Zeus/Kevin. He was pretty scared and tired that night, but he had just been neutered and then taken to a completely new household with people he did not know. It was understandable. He pretty much laid on our loveseat that whole evening, but he did sleep in our bed that night. [Read more…]

Chocolate Cake Protein Bites

The Denver Broncos are Super Bowl Champs!!!! We had a blast watching the Denver defense beat up on Cam Newton. Our defense is so bad ass!

We stopped by some friends of ours house before the game to hang out and play beer pong. I was Donny’s partner but he drank all the beer! We killed it too…. won four games in a row! [Read more…]

Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Dough Bites - edit

Unfortunately I woke up this morning and was not a millionaire. No winning the PowerBall for the Edson’s. Too bad. We would have done some fun things with all those dollar bills!

It is pretty fun to talk about winning. We did at work a little bit and my dad decided we would buy a company jet. Only makes sense. We would use to mostly to go to all the away Broncos games… not necessarily radio things. [Read more…]

Peanut Butter Energy Bites

Peanut Butter Energy Bites-edit

We are officially home and getting into the swing of things on our own. Sadly for me, there are no nurses (I am the nurse). Sadly for Donny, there is no morphine (too bad we couldn’t bring some home…). Friday night was rough, Donny slept through taking a round of pain meds, so early Saturday morning (as in 1:00am) he was one hurtin’ unit!

The bad part is that the pain medication doesn’t kick in right away so it took over an hour for the pain to go away. You always lose the catch-up game with Percocet. Always. Keep that in mind. [Read more…]

Maple Pecan Granola

Maple Pecan Granola-edit

First of all, happy birthday to Donny!!!! He is 33 years old today so if you see him around then wish him a happy birthday too.

We had a fantastic time in Seattle over the weekend to celebrate his birthday. It was one of our most fun trips. We were there less than 48 hours, but I’m telling you, we made it count! We left late on Friday night and got back last night around 12:30pm. Yikes. Not my thing to be out that late on a Sunday, but I’m trying to be more open to the idea (under certain circumstances) and this trip was absolutely worth it. Coffee. I’ll just drink coffee. Nut & Seed Bars-edit

We had early Thanksgiving yesterday at Donny’s parents house. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, candied sweet potatoes, broccoli casserole, rolls, stuffing…. phew I am full just thinking about all the food! Not only that, but Peggy made lemon meringue pie, pecan pie, and his grandma made pumpkin bars. It was delicious! [Read more…]
